Fluorosilicone FVMQ sheets
The fluorosilicone FVMQ rubber sheeting provides the same mechanical properties as the regular silicone sheeting with an improvement to fuel and mineral oil resistance.

The biggest drawback of the regular silicone is its poor compatibility and resistance to chemicals. The fluorosilicone rubber sheeting solves this problem. By fluorinating the VMQ compound it creates stronger bonds which makes it resistant to fuel and mineral oils. Please note, fluorinated fluorosilicone - FVMQ is not suitable for use with hot air applications.

Fluorosilicones are used in aerospace industries for sealing applications including hot fuels, oils and lubricants dependent on diesters. For static sealing devices, it is also a reasonable option for a wide range of temperatures.

Their use is typically limited to static applications due to poor abrasion strength, comparatively low tear strength and reasonable flex tolerance, although some grades exist with better or even excellent flex tolerance to cracking and compression.
