Function and purpose:

Its main function is to fill the gap between two flat surfaces to prevent leakage of fluids (such as air, fuel, coolant, water, etc.). Here are some of the most common specific uses for these two-hole washers:

Carburetor/intake manifold gasket: often used in small engines, go-karts, all-terrain vehicles or classic old cars. It is placed between the carburetor and the intake manifold to prevent excess air from leaking in and affecting the air-fuel ratio.

Thermostat housing gasket: In the automotive cooling system, it is used to seal the water inlet and housing where the thermostat (car temperature control valve) is installed.

Water pump/circulating pump flange gasket: widely used in pipe flange connections of industrial and household heating radiator circulating water pumps (such as some Taco pumps) or automotive water pumps.
