PU wheel, also known as polyurethane wheel, is a tire made of polyurethane (PolyUrethane) material. Polyurethane is a polymer material with high elasticity, wear resistance, tear resistance and impact resistance. The PU wheel is usually made of polyurethane cast elastomer raw materials. It has differences in yellowing resistance, wear resistance, transparency, softness and hardness depending on the raw materials used.
Polyurethane wheels mainly include three categories: driving wheels, supporting wheels and guide wheels.
Carrier wheel
The bearing wheel is also called a support wheel, which is mainly used for load bearing; the bearing wheel is generally not connected to the motor, and its main function is to support and load bearing. The hardness of the bearing wheel relative to the support wheel can be higher. It can neither accelerate nor decelerate. We can provide the hardness range of the bearing wheel 85A-80D, and the single wheel can carry up to 40 tons. The higher the hardness, the greater the load bearing capacity; but the hardness is too high, the greater the noise. Customers can choose rollers of different sizes and hardness according to their working conditions.
Drive wheel
The drive wheel is directly or close to the motor, and its main function is to drive the equipment operation; the drive wheel is connected to the motor, which can control the speed of the equipment. The hardness of the drive wheel is generally between 70A and 92A, and its hardness will be lower than that of the load wheel. When the outer diameter and width of the roller remain unchanged, the lower the hardness of the drive wheel, the larger the contact area, the greater the friction force, and the smaller the bearing capacity of the roller. We can recommend the best solution to customers according to different working conditions.
Guide wheel
The main function of the guide wheel is guidance. Some equipment are called side wheels or bottom wheels. The guide wheels can ensure that the equipment does not deviate from the set track and play an auxiliary role. The guide wheel has a variety of structures, with aluminum and iron cores, and some guide wheels directly make a polyurethane glue layer on the bearing.
