"Clamp Gaskets" are a kind of key components used in pipeline system, which can be sealed by clamp connection. They are widely used in food, beverage, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemical industry, laboratory and other industries that require strict cleanliness and tightness.
Type of Material
Silicone: It has a wide temperature range (usually-60 C to 230°C), good elasticity, no smell and no toxicity, and meets FDA standards. It is the first choice for food and pharmaceutical industries.
EPDM: Excellent weather resistance and ozone resistance, suitable for water, steam, acid and alkali environment, moderate cost, widely used in beer brewing and general industry.
Buna (nitrile rubber): It has good oil resistance and is suitable for oily media, but its temperature resistance and weather resistance are not as good as those of silica gel and EPDM.
Viton (FKM&FPM): a chemical with high temperature resistance (above 230°C) and strong corrosion resistance, which is suitable for harsh chemical industry and CIP/SIP (cleaning/sterilization in place) environment.
PTFE: It is extremely chemically inert, resistant to almost all chemicals, and has low friction coefficient. It is often used in high-purity or highly corrosive fluid systems.
