1. Prevent aging and deterioration of rubber products

Rubber products on automobiles, such as tires, transmission belts, and dust covers, often age, swell, or shape, resulting in poor performance and shorter service life.

The aging of rubber products is mainly due to the fact that rubber is an unsaturated polymer hydrocarbon, which easily absorbs oxygen in the air and oxidizes. At the same time, vulcanized rubber has a certain gas permeability, and oxygen easily enters the interior to oxidize. Especially direct sunlight can promote the rapid aging of rubber. When rubber products are contaminated by gasoline and engine oil, the volume will expand, the gum will become loose, and the elasticity will decrease.

2, to prevent metal rust

Corrosion is mainly caused by the combination of moisture, oxygen and corrosive substances in the air. Therefore, for vehicles that have been parked for a long time, the metal surface should be kept clean. Ventilation should be maintained in the garage of the parked vehicle to keep the relative humidity of the air below 70%. It is necessary to remove dust, dirt and moisture from the car in time. The surface of the rust and the surface of the machine should be coated with oil, grease or wrapped with oil paper. The pores in each assembly should be sealed to prevent air, moisture and dust from entering the interior.

The antiknock performance of gasoline is determined by the level of gasoline octane. When the car is stopped for a long time, the octane number of the gasoline will decrease with the loss of the light components and the content of the gum, which will reduce the explosion resistance. Therefore, the gasoline tank should be tightly sealed and the temperature should be kept too high. It is best not to store the gasoline for too long.

5, often check the working condition of the engine

Start the engine at least once a month, idle for 4-5 minutes, and check the engine operation. If there is an abnormal phenomenon, it needs to be adjusted and repaired in time.

Also, check the battery frequently. The electrolyte liquid level of the battery must be 10-15mm higher than the electrode plate. When it is insufficient, the distilled water should be added in time. The battery should be kept fully charged and the battery should be charged if necessary.
