What is the difference between rubber gasket and silicone gasket
Rubber gasket rubber gasket rubber gasket is a kind of sheet rubber products which seal between two static surfaces of metal flange or other connecting parts. It can be made by molding or vulcanized film. It can be widely used in all kinds of mechanical equipment, such as gasket, seal, buffer and so on.
Silicone rubber is a kind of highly active adsorption material, which belongs to amorphous substance. Its chemical formula is msio2 nH2O, which is insoluble in water and any solvent, non-toxic and tasteless, with stable chemical properties. It does not react with any substance except strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid. Different types of silica gel have different microporous structures due to their different manufacturing methods. The chemical composition and physical structure of silica gel determine that it has many characteristics which are difficult to be replaced by other similar materials: high adsorption performance, good thermal stability, stable chemical properties, high mechanical strength, etc. Silica gel can be divided into macroporous silica gel, macroporous silica gel, B-type silica gel and microporous silica gel according to their pore size.
