The word rubber comes from the Indian language, meaning "tears of tears." Natural rubber is obtained by solidifying and drying the latex which is discharged when the rubber is cut by the trefoil tree. The finished product is a material that is elastic, insulating, impervious to water and air. It is mainly divided into natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Natural rubber is processed by extracting gum from plants such as rubber trees and rubber grasses. Synthetic rubber is obtained by polymerization of various monomers. Rubber products are widely used in industrial or life aspects. Has a wide range of uses. Rubber can also be divided into natural rubber, general rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, silicone rubber, EPDM rubber, neoprene rubber and so on.

The rubber processing process includes basic processes such as mastication, mixing, calendering or extrusion, forming and vulcanization. Each process has different requirements for the products, and is combined with several auxiliary operations. In order to be able to add various required compounding agents to the rubber, the raw rubber first needs to be plasticized to improve its plasticity; then the carbon black and various rubber additives and rubber are uniformly mixed into a rubber compound by mixing; the rubber material is pressed. The blank is formed into a certain shape; and then combined with the calcined or rubberized textile material (or metal material) to form a semi-finished product; finally, the vulcanized and semi-finished plastic product is made into a highly elastic final product. .

In the processing process, the products with higher precision requirements include oil seals, O-rings, seals and other rubber products, and also need to be trimmed and deburred. The optional methods include manual trimming, mechanical trimming and freezing repair. side.

During the processing, storage and use of rubber and its products, the physical and chemical properties and mechanical properties of rubber are gradually deteriorated due to the combined effects of internal and external factors, and finally the use value is lost. This change is called rubber aging. On the surface, it is characterized by cracking, stickiness, hardening, softening, chalking, discoloration, and mildew.
