Installation Precautions Of O-ring And O-ring Rubber Seal

一、 Installation requirements of O-ring (O-ring rubber seal)

Before installing the O-ring (O-ring rubber seal), check the following items:

1. Whether the lead-in angle is processed according to the drawing, whether the sharp edge is chamfered or rounded;

2. Whether the inner diameter is deburred and whether the surface is polluted;

3. Whether the seals and parts have been coated with grease or lubricant (to ensure the medium compatibility of elastomer, it is recommended to use the sealed liquid for lubrication);

4. Grease containing solid additives, such as molybdenum disulfide and zinc sulfide, shall not be used.

二、 Manual installation of O-ring (O-ring rubber seal)

1. Use tools without sharp edges;

2. Ensure that the O-ring (O-type rubber sealing ring) is not twisted, and do not over stretch the O-ring (O-type rubber sealing ring);

3. Try to use auxiliary tools to install O-ring (O-ring rubber seal) and ensure correct positioning;

4. The O-ring (O-type rubber sealing ring) bonded with sealing strip shall not be stretched at the joint.

三、 Install screws, splines, etc

1. when the O-ring (O-type rubber seal ring) is stretched, the installation mandrel must be used when the screw, spline, keyway, etc. are to be passed. The spindle can be made of soft, smooth metal or plastic, without burr or sharp edges.

2. when installing the compression screw, the screw shall be tightened according to the weight, and it shall not be tightened in the order of direction.
