 According to the data of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to May 2025, the automobile production and sales volume reached 12.826 million and 12.748 million respectively, up by 12.7% and 10.9% respectively. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 5.699 million and 5.608 million respectively, up by 45.2% and 44% respectively, and the sales of new energy vehicles reached 44% of the total sales of new vehicles. In terms of exports, from January to May, 2.49 million vehicles were exported, up 7.9% year-on-year. Among them, 855,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 64.6%.

 Data show that in May, the production and sales of automobiles were 2.649 million and 2.686 million respectively, up 1.1% and 3.7% from the previous month and 11.6% and 11.2% from the same period last year.
